Terms and Conditions

Welcome to our website. These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Unique Handmade shop website. By accessing the site or placing an order with us you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

Payments online are processed through PayPal – a secure and trusted online payment processor. We take all major debit and credit cards apart from American Express. Once you have placed your order with us you will receive e-mail confirmation of the transaction. Any problems placing your order do contact us on 020 3722 2610.


Where possible we ship in the UK on the Same Day using a First Class Signed For Delivery or Courier Service for orders placed before 1pm.

Although rare for a product to be out of stock, it might be that shop sales have meant an item has sold out before the website stock has been adjusted. If this happens we will inform you immediately by e-mail if there is likely to be a delay.

In some cases where items are made to order, delivery may take longer than stated above. We will advise a lead time in the product description if this is the case. Please bear in mind where items are handmade, originals or from small editions, we may sell out of certain items at particularly busy periods. In this case we will endeavour to advise you of a delivery date or on other options.

UK Deliveries

We want to be transparent about our postal charges and not hide them in the price of what you are buying! We’ve tried to keep our delivery charges as simple as possible. Orders under £100 are charged at £8.99 UK. Orders over £100 will receive free delivery.

Your order will be sent via a trackable courier service and a signature will be required when you receive your parcel. To avoid delays in delivering your parcel, we always recommend having your item shipped to your daytime address i.e., your work address. If the package isn’t signed for, and ends up being returned to us, we are happy to resend items but you will need to cover the postage costs of resending the parcel.

If you want to email us to send you an item simply by first class post without signature required, this can be arranged but please be advised we will not then be held accountable for any loss or damage to your package.

Overseas deliveries

We are happy to send our items around the world. Our standard packaging and shipping charges are currently £25 for Europe / £48 for everywhere else. For international items we use a trackable service where possible, and they may need a signature on arrival. Please note these charges are only valid if not stated otherwise at the product description, heavy/oversized parcels especially.

It usually takes 5 working days for a parcel to arrive, but please be aware it can take up to one month (as delivery dates depend on your country’s postal service).

Please note that shipment to non-UK countries may be subject to import duties and tax fees charged by your local Customs Office. These charges are beyond our control, and any extra cost needs to be covered by the customer. Unique Handmade has no control over these charges and are not responsible for these fees which will need to be paid by you. All orders are processed in British Pounds Sterling and are exclusive of UK VAT.

Returns and refunds

If you wish to make a return you must inform us as soon as possible by email and return the item within 14 calendar days of delivery. We do not offer refunds or exchanges after these 14 days have passed. Please have invoice number, and items to be returned prepared before contacting us. All returns will incur a minimum processing/restocking fee of 20%. You will be given a RMA (return merchandise authorization) number to mark on the outside of your box. If the RMA is not seen on the return it WILL be refused. All Claims of error must be made within three days of delivery to the customer, as per the tracking number on your package. When making a return please send the item using recorded delivery and with appropriate insurance as we cannot be held responsible for items missing or damaged in transit.

We will refund your payment minus the postage costs. We aim to reimburse you within 7 working days upon receipt of the returned item. Refunds will only be issued if the item is returned in unused/same condition it was sent out. Refunds can only be made to your original payment method (to the card you used as payment).

We cannot offer refunds on items made to order (size, shape, or other details). We do not accept cancellation for full refund of custom orders that are in the process of being built. You have 24 hours from the date of purchase to cancel an order.

In the unlikely event that you feel you have been sent a faulty item please contact us immediately to discuss. We will correct any error made by us without expense to you, this includes items that are defective, or arrive broken. We will either replace the item or give a full refund (Item must be returned first before refund is given). We will not refund shipping cost on any incorrectly ordered items.

Please be aware that some monitors may display colours of items incorrectly and the products may vary from the colours you see on the screen. Handmade items always may have small variations in colour or size from the image on the website, due to the nature of some of the processes used.

Breakages and damaged items

If an item arrives damaged or broken please contact us immediately and keep the item and packaging used.

You may be contacted by a representative of the courier service as part of their insurance process or we may need the damaged item to be returned to us. Please wait for our instructions before returning the item to us.

Lost items

If your item does not arrive within 7 days (UK) or 14 days (elsewhere), please contact us in case your delivery has been delayed. 

Items returned to us by the postal service or couriers marked as not called for or unclaimed by the receiver will require additional postage costs to be paid before we can resend.

We cannot be held responsible if a parcel has gone missing due to the postal address being filled in incorrectly or missing important information. However, if we notice the address is incomplete, we will contact you before dispatch.

 Risk of loss passes to you once the item has been passed to the courier service.


The copyright of this site and the products within it are retained by the artists. Images, logos, descriptions or text from our site must not be reproduced without written permission.


We have endeavoured to give you an accurate likeness of the colour and quality of the items. Each one is unique and reproduction may vary slightly due to the nature of the handmade process.

Some computer monitors may display colours of items incorrectly and the received product may vary slightly from the colours you see on screen, as often the images are photographic representations of the work. Paintings may have small variations in colour or pattern from the image on the the website, due to the nature of some of the printing processes used.

All dimensions indicated are as accurate as possible, but please note that due to the handmade nature of many of our items, slight differences and anomalies may occur.
